Track objects in camera view using GUI? Like a HUD for flight sim lockon targeting.
Trying to determine the best method for tracking an object with a HUD box. Like in the movie top gun when you are locking onto an object in front of you.
I need to determine if an object in the view of the camera (in front of me). I need to draw a GUI object (a red box, etc.) on the screen that moves with the object on the GUI 2d plane.
Is it right in thinking to use a GUI object in this scenario?

Yep, that would be the thing to do. Use something like this script on the wiki, except replace the GUIText with a GUITexture.
@Fishman92: It works very well with textures. I tried too, no problems at all.
@Erich5h5 I've been playing with that script for a couple days now and I can't get it to work but i'm not getting any errors. How did you get your's to work? do i need to added a var for the texture i want it to print and where does that belong in the sript?
