Unity Photon appcloud - competitive games possible?
Hi,
we're currently working on an arena-style competitive multiplayer game (student project) with up to 8 players. The game is running on Exitgames Photon appcloud server. So far it has been working well. Basic movement and abilities sync, but it is somewhat laggy, too laggy to play competitively. I know that we would need client/server simulation to predict where other players would be.
Right now all the communication happens via OnPhotonSerializeView(). Is there a better way to send and receive data over the appcloud than with this function? I understand that this solution is basically a peer-to-peer network and therefore not as fast as a client/server application.
