How to move caterpillars of a tank?

I scripted the motion of the tank using wheelcolliders, but right now I don't know how to move its caterpillars, I'd like to achieve the effect of tanks in Battlefield3, but I need help, please, could u give me a tip?

It's a very clever idea - to simply scroll (offset) the texture. Thanks Grady.

Just for the record, this is a situation where one could use Unity's new procedural materials (which is in fact Substance by Allegorithmic)...

However the idea of just offsetting the ordinary everyday texture is so clever and elegant that it's almost certainly the way to go!!!

I think the best solution is to create a akinned mesh with joint on all the wheel, and simply scroll the offset of a texture on this skinned mesh
