Is there any way to put a unity file into stl format?

I'm pretty certain, that you can't put a Unity file to STL format. And, to be honest, I wouldn't know what that could be used for. What would probably be more interesting is whether the STL format could be imported into Unity. I don't know much about STL but if there's a way to turn STL to FBX, that would work.
It is working with unity runtime environment, even with high poly game objects. Can anyone suggest me for colors?

The External Lightmapping Tool (http://unity3d.com/support/resources/unity-extensions/external-lightmapping-tool)is able to export a Unity scene as FBX to 3ds max (where it can be lightmapped and imported back).
And 3ds max is able to save as .STL, so this is probably a way you could go.

Not sure if it's too late for this, but I've found an asset that might interest you: a STL exporter for Unity.
