Tutorials on Basic Level Modeling for Games

Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone knew of any good (preferably beginner level) tutorials on how to model and texture a scene to be used for games? I prefer if it were done in either Cinema4d (because I already have some knowledge of it) or Blender (because its free) but any suggestions will be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

What you're asking is a pretty broad subject, is the problem your C4D skills or your environment modelling skills?

Everything just comes down to practice unfortunately, my best advice is to just knock something together and then get it in Unity, and then see what you can do with it from there. Don't aim for this to be any kind of end-result; the best learning I've done in Unity has been purely from messing around.

Only link I can think to give you at the moment is the one detailing bringing things in to Unity from C4D, just in case you haven't seen it already: http://unity3d.com/support/documentation/Manual/HOWTO-ImportObjectCinema4D.html

thanks I actually have not scene that link. but sorry for me being too broad, allow me to elaborate.

The only knowledge of C4D I have is basic text and lighting skills I have picked up from a little GFX work I used to do. I have virtually no knowledge of modeling and I am looking for some tutorials. I have found videos on modeling objects, but not really any on setting up an interior scene, or a building. So, I'm looking for some help on designing an environment for a game.
