Books or articles about mesh recalculation

Hi there! i am looking for some books or may be guides(??) about mesh modification. For example, methods that used by 3ds max tools. I believe that professional coders, that used to help community, have some bookmarks about it. And it will be rly nice to share, for newcomers self education, isn't it? :)

On another hand, thats pretty silly to "reinvent" these methods, so any help will be nice (lol).

Best regards, DEtH_MoroZ.

There are volumes written on this subject what exactly are you trying to find information on? calculating normals, NURBS modeling?, triangle removal for low polygon games, do you want to rebuild the mesh after you remove some triangles. There are an insane number of topics within what you have asked.
