Let's take a moment and appreciate all these legendary names:

So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish! It seems. Roll credits
Meanwhile, you might want to let those good ppl at Unity know what you think about this.
:) No, I just counted. My posts (answers+comments) only account for 1.1% of all posts. I just had fun answering questions. That's actually how I gained most of my knowledge about Unity and partly C#. Some people do projects, I answer questions. More often than not when answering other people's questions you learn something new about game dev, something about Unity or something about C#. It's all jist curiosity driven.
Yes, I'm also more active in the scripting forum than here. though I still have both tabs open 24 / 7. (My UnityAnswers folder in thunderbird contains 37000 mails x) )
I'm the same - so much of my knowledge and skills in Unity and general programming came from contributing here: there's no easier way to learn than to be proven wrong publicly :)
Thanks for all the help over the years Bunny83! I'm sure thousands of people got to make the games they wanted to because of you.

But this 1.1%:
:) I guess the majority of my comments were me reminding people to post their own seperate quetion. The same is most likely true for Hellium as well. He's truly the janitor of UA. He posted more than twice as many comments than me. He's the human WALL-E, doing his best to keep this place clean.

I just found out about this.. I cant lie, it's a pretty stupid idea that they are removing it and instead forcing us to use an out dated forum that is confusing/annoying to get around in.
To be fair, the forum does currently work bettern than UA. I don't know how they even managed to screw up UA that much over the years. The sudden markdown fail that started several years ago was one of the strangest things (paragraphs don't work anymore, most margins / paddings are screwed up, especially for bullet point or numbered lists).
I actually prefered the markdown editor here. The wysiwyg approach on the forum does actually cause more issues than it solves. When you copy something from a website or from other posts the copied formatting is most the time just a hassle. However the Forum has several good features (spoiler sections, working image uploads, proper quotes). The most annoying thing about the forum for me is that when switching to the BB markdown mode you don't get any toolbar. So you would have to type all tags yourself. In addition in the normal Rich text mode some elements are rich text and some are still BB code tags. I would prefer a plain BB code editor, but with a toolbar like we have here on UA. It's just a strange mix. Though it's all just a matter of time to get used to how it works. The same is true with the broken UA.
Most people that are still active here are probably used to adding <BR>
when they need a paragraph.
Another good feature that UA had at the very beginning is the notification system that informs you when new posts have been made to the thread you're currently viewing. Though that was a stack exchange engine feature and when UA switched to qato many of the great features were gone. I also don't like too much power in single hands. vote for close is how it should be IMO.
There's no denying the madness that is forcing cohesive and <b>**sane**</b> markup behavior here. It took work to ensure it would come out right, but the active preview (well, on answers) meant you know what you'll get. The cases of 'M', 'min', 'K', and plenty of other "combinations" of text being eaten and turned into $$anonymous$$ after a time didn't really help, either.
<br> <br>
Something this place definitely had going for it, though, is the general organizational layout. Rather than a single, continuous stream of posts, the answer->comment layout means (potentially) posting where you want it, rather than "In response to the post 27 above mine..."
