Let Player move from B5 to D3 like on a Chessboard
Hello,
im working (Just for Fun) on Project where i have a Player running around on a Map like playfield. I want this map to have a coordinate system. So on the Bottom Left i have A1, A2, A3 etc. Upper right Z30, Z29 etc. Like on a Chessboard.
I already got my player to move around on my Map by clicking on a position.
What i want is that when i click on a position my player get Centered on a "tile" in my coordinate system. And that i can type in a "Command Box" something like D5, that my player moves to that position.
I can't find something like that anywhere. I watched a bunch of Videos about Chessboard all that thing. But nothing like the thing i wanted to do. I thought about using Cubes and move my Player from Cube Position to Cube position. But i would Thousunds of Cubes for that.
Maybe someone here has a Idea for that.
If you don't know what i mean (Sorry for my English) look at the Game "Seafight" its like that.
