Network and GUI, moving objects from server not updating on client, but updating on host

Hi!

Well, to make a long story short, I'm trying to make a multiplayer card game that's basically played from the GUI.

My current idea is that the server holds a "Deck" containing a bunch of "Cards" and when a player connects to the game, the player draws some number of cards from the deck.

I'm really struggling with understanding the network API however, and decided to first just try to manually move gameobjects, which are GUI-elements, from the deck to the player hand, while the game is running. By manually moving, I mean, I drag and drop it from the hierarchy on the host.

This works perfectly for the host of the game, but the GUI doesn't update for any other player connected. I read up on SyncVar and SyncList, but neither seems to do what it is I want to accomplish. I'll add a screenshot to demonstrate what it is I'm doing. alt text

Anything that could point me in the direction of a solution would be greatly appreciated!
