GUI Text not visible in-game

Heya all, I'm trying to use a GUI Text object and while I can get it to appear in my Editor view I can't see it in my Game view, I've also tried building the game and deploying it but still no luck.

I'm building for Android, and while I can't see anything that says GUIText won't work with mobile I was wondering if this is the case? Otherwise, does anyone have any suggestions as to why it isn't showing up? The object itself in the game world is at (0.5,0.5,0) so I don't think I've got the problem of it being off the screen.
