How to use a 360° panoramic photo as a texture inside a cylinder
Hi! I would like to use a 360° panoramic photo as a texture around my player (first person) to get the same feeling as a QTVR. How do I do that? I've tried to put it as a texture inside a cylinder but the cylinder is just black.
Thanks
Farre
Is the cylinder inside-out? Do you have a light on the inside? Are you using an 'unlit' shader? These are all important things which your question hasn't specified.
you can check this link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IfBcaWHrYaU

First of all check the lights. You will need lights to see things. You should use a 3d program like maya or 3ds. Then probably u will need to check normals, to make shure it will be visible from the inside. then u apply the texture and import it back to unity. if you are not familiar with normals check this out.

Actually I solved the problem by editing the 6 skybox pictures in Photoshop. Now I have a city with a sky surrounding my game terrain. Thanks anyway :)
