Best way to organize many camera paths for a room walkthrough?
I am creating a walkthrough of an architectural space designed in 3dsmax using nice looking camera splines to fly between hotspots on the map including lookat rotation data.
My first thought is to have one of our modelers animate separate camera objects in max for each path from the starting point to each hotspot, and then from each hotspot to each other hotspot. This would take about an hour for 15 hotspots. This method got confusing fast once we started adding so many splines, and it's also hard to figure out how to position the camera at the starting point.
Is there a better way to do this? The goal is just to show off the space and fly up to certain areas of interest and for it to animate in a really sexy way. Maybe a plugin that will automatically walk a camera through a space avoiding collisions, or a cleaner way to author the paths using max?
