Game start up map randomizer (hex based) Questions
Hey Everyone, I am fairly new to video game development and very new to unity. I am currently working on a top down game that mainly takes place in a perfectly hexagonal hex tile map. I am having issues planning out my terrain mapping. basically the jist of the idea is once a player builds their character completes character creation, the map will load and each tile is supposed to randomly generate a terrain type from variable options 1-6. this classification is very important for future development as terrain type designates where a character can spawn on the map and other mechanics. i have no idea how to go about coding this and its a fairly cryptic concept for an entry level unity user so if anyone has any ideas i would love to hear them.
