Unity Photon (true MMO style) single online server
Hi folks,
I'd be interested in knowing how I should begin tackling the idea of a single-server online game using Photon technology.
I'm looking for resources or information on how I would make one, auto-join server that doesn't require players to make a game within the Lobby. So, if the cloud is online, it is always online- so to speak. (preferably that I can test with the cloud system before switching to server SDK in the long-run).
I can't get my head around how it might theoretically work, unless I were to create two versions of the game, an admin one and a player one (with hidden Start Server button)- and the admin one having the "start server" button unhidden. Would that work? Is that not the way it should be done? Just throwing ideas around right now, would love some clarity.
I've seen people be slaughtered for asking similar questions in the past, but i've already played around successfully with Photon and Unity and understand the player-made game systems, where any player can activate their own game within the server. So this question is very specifically about making a single-game server.
Many thanks.
