Creating Game Objects

Question

I am new to this so this may sound like a stupid question, but how do I create an empty game object? I am doing the Car tutorial and it is on page 10, "Adding a blob shadow."

Ctrl Shift N on Windows, Cmd Shift N on Mac, or GameObject > Create Empty in the menu up top
