URP 2D Lights optimization
Pardon me if this isn't the right channel to ask this. I'm currently trying to improve the performance of the Lights 2D (Experimental) component in the URP 2D Renderer.
The thing is, I would like to only update the lights when I know there will be dynamic objects that will interact with them (the script currently updates the meshes each frame on Late Update and that is making a lot of unnecesary Draw Calls).
If the lit meshes won't move, there is no need to re-render the meshes, and I was thinking of creating a boolean in order to manually check and uncheck depending on the part of the levels the light will be in. The problem is that I cant save any update to the script for some reason.
Do you guys know how to do it?
Thanks in advance!
