Can an AR app contain both Huawei AR Engine and ARCore at the same time?

Hi, I have a Huawei Nova 5T device (with google play store) that doesn’t support ARCore but does support Huawei AR Engine as it describe here https://consumer.huawei.com/en/community/details/ARCore-on-Huawei-Nova-5T/topicId_73971/. If I want my AR app to work on this device too, did I need to include Huawei AR Engine along with ARCore in the project?

I found an app from google play store call ARLOOPA with AR camera and it work on my device without ARCore install. So I wonder how they able to do it. Here the links to the app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.arloopa.arloopa&hl=en≷=US
