Scene design question
I never learned how to make a game, so I don't have any know-how.
I need to make a huge forest from above. I've a floating island with a jungle below, but I can't get a good solution for a good looking jungle.
I've tried a 360° panorama cage, detail mesh and trees from a terrain, very bumpy texture on a terrain mesh, extra chaos mesh (many planes with different rotation stacked on each other) with an alpha texture... but nothing really hits.
*It just need to look good from top (zenith to 45° view), there is no need for real detail or any withstand to a close look.
Any suggestions?

Have a look around on the Unity Asset Store. You're bound to find a few good forests and if you're lucky some will even be free
Thats a nice tipp. But I wont use something from the store, just because I wanna learn it by myself. But maybe I'll get some inspiration...
