Issue with Unity switching videos in MAC
Hi,
I'm working on a Interactive Decision based game which works with videos (similar to 'The Complex' game on Steam). So Basically the video files are present inside the Streaming Assets folder (mp4 H.264 files). The game works in the way a video is played and at certain point options are displayed on the video. When user selects one the decision is saved and when the current video ends the next video is played instantly based on user decision. So it feels like a seamless transition. Also the video is played on the render texture as switching is seamless in that rather than near or far camera plane.
The Game works perfectly on Windows platform. But when trying to play the Build on MAC there is like 0.4-0.5 sec lag when before the next video starts playing. This makes the whole seamless thing bad and the user can now see when the switching happens.
I've tried number of settings by using low resolution, by changing mac retina support true and false etc but None of that helped. If anyone can suggest what setting am I missing here or is it related to MAC trying to decode videos causing the issue?
