Question by szkuls · Mar 12, 2013 at 09:08 PM · alphaguilayoutguiskintooltipgui.label

GUI objects (Label and box) change their opacity for unknown reason.

I am using a GUI.Label and GUI.box to display a tooltip when the mouse is hovering over a mesh. The GUI.Label is using a custom style that is not being modified at all. It seems I am getting different opacity results when I make updates to a GUILayout I am using to display a hierarchy list.

As you can see in the image below the top tooltip is correct and appears the way it should. When I manipulate the GUILayout the tooltip seems to become more transparent.

I have tried ensuring that GUI.alpha = 1 and GUI.depth for the label and box are renderer on top of everything else but I have had no success. The custom style are not being edited in the script anywhere. I have tried setting the GUI.contentColor = Color.white. Nothing seems to fix the problem.

Has anyone come across a similar issue and been able to correct it?

If I understand correctly,, the lower box is using a different skin. Are you sure that it's not a problem with the skin itself and not your GUI?
