Using Unity 5 Personal to build game and later upgrade to release the game?
Hi!
I am making a game and I was wondering if I can build my game in the personal editor and then when it is ready for release, buy the prof edition to remove the splash screen. Or would I have to remake my game in the prof version?
I am a bit confused over the FAQ since it doesn't really answer this question directly. I also read somewhere on reddit that there were some rule in the EULA that said you can not combine Unity personal stuff with Unity professional.
Thanks in advance!

Well, all the features are now available in the Personal edition. This means that the Pro license only covers the additional benefits and the Earning cap of $100k
All people working on a Pro project must have Pro. You can't all work in free then hand off to a Pro user.
slightly (ok highly) hypothetical question here...
What if you made your game using Unity Personal but that game made over $100k
???
You'd have to upgrade your license to not break the agreement.
By that point you'd be throwing the money at them.
So just to be sure. I can make the game in Personal and THEN when it is ready to be released, buy the professional?
Indeed. And providing there is noone in your $$anonymous$$m with a Pro license.
Of course, new product new rules. It's best to ask them.
