Animations not working

This is my little big pla... problem...
I created a TEST scene in Unity 4.5.5, to test animations and character controllers, I found very useful the asset of character controllers, BUT when I wanted to modify it, using my own model created in MakeHuman, I exported 2 TEST models 1.- in FBX format and 2.- in Collada .DAE format, even rigged inside the program, I did copy the scripts and components and double check everything to work like the 3rd person controller, I wanted to create my own using the assets from Unity like rawmocap data, but when I added the animations, the model didn't move at all, first it said "Animation state could not be found" then "For this animation you must set it as legacy" and then after hours of work I couldn't make it work, the model stays in "T" pose all the time, and it moves like its sliding on ice
I need a little help...
I'm currently using:
Unity 4.5.5 Asset: Character controllers: 3rd person controller Asset: Raw Mocap Data MakeHuman 1.0.2
