Asset store downloads not working.

I have an internet connection, I have Unity free edition, but when I press "Open in Unity", Unity opens but the asset store or the pop up that's supposed to happen doesn't. I've wated 1 hour but still nothing. The pop up used to come up saying "You are currently offline. You need to be online in order to make purchases" (Or something like that) but nothing shows up. In total I've been trying to solve the issue of "You are currently offline." for 8 months but nothing and I am not very good at developing, therefore I need assistance. Any ideas?

In what country are you located? China firewall doesn't like many things.

Do you have a firewall that prevents this on your computer?
