Animating a 2D character with this type of sprite
I'm trying to find the best way of animating a 2d character which has this type of sprite: 
If you take a look at this video on youtube: Link You can see on the end of the video how I want it to look like. But I also want to be able to add bones to my character so I can bend arms legs etc. I'm not really sure what would be the best way of doing this. I have already used the sprite editor to slice all the parts I am using. I am using a different picture than below but it's structured exactly the same. How should I be animating this? I'm am a beginner at animating so a detailed explanation would definitlely work. Thanks!
