Does Unity 2D Lights require OpenGLES3?
I have been working on a game for android that I am testing on my Ulefone S1 which doesn't seem to support OpenGLES3 or Vulkan. Basically before introducing 2D Lights and the URP into my game, the game ran fine on my android. Now my screen freezes on the Loading scene (which doesn't contain any lights) but the main scene is running (I can interact with my UI elements and can hear the game audio). However when disabling all my lights, the game works normally. This only happens when I test the game on my mobile device. In the editor everything works fine. After reading about similar issues online I tried to set my Color Space in the player settings from gamma to Linear and the Lightmap Encoding to High Quality, however those options do not work with my device's graphics API, according to unity. So I thought that maybe my device is simply too old to use 2D Lights. Since this is my only android device I am currently unable to test the game on a different one. This is my first time making a game and using unity, sorry if I am missing something obvious here. Thanks in advance!!!!
