Menu question: Separate Scene or Canvas overlay?
Hi,
New here to this site and new to Unity.
My question involves making a Main and Pause menu. I've been watching several videos and watched the Game Jam Template menu video and I found that there are different ways to do menus.
One, make a scene dedicated for a menu. Two, make a overlay on the game scene.
For efficiency and portability, what would be better?
I know I'm just starting out and should focus on the small simple stuff but I like efficiency. I like to get into a good practice off the bat.
This is also for a trial project for a group of friends that are making a gaming company, a test for me to be part of the team, and would be nice to wow them as well.
