Space Flight Tutorial

Hey, I have done tons of searching and just keep coming up empty handed. I am looking for a solid "3rd person space flight control" for a game a couple guys and I are working on. Now anyone can just copy and past some code and try messing around with it. But I was wondering if there was a solid tutorial out there where I could actually learn and understand the code. Or even perhaps some good code with great explanatory comments within. Anything you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.
