Why does Unity Remote not work for Android TV? is there an alternative?
apparently the Unity Remote app does not work for Android TV. I would like to know why. Also I would like to know of any alternatives for faster development cycles.
I mean it does work on tvOS (Apple's TV software) so I dont understand why it is not set to work with Android TVs.
Also I notice if I use a "native file picker" it works fine in my app when built but on the PC / Unity remote setup when I go to select a file it opens on the PC due to the streaming of the screen instead of running as native app...
Is there any alternatives? I tried the "Device Simulator" but I have discovered that if you make GUI buttons in code if (GUILayout.Button(...))
that those buttons do not function in the simulator but they do work in the "normal" Game Editor Play Mode...
Also I work with native bluetooth code and that breaks in the "Remote" app difference from the file picker is that I have native code for PCs to handle that but not for the Bluetooth part (and the Bluetooth is not planned to be an option available for PC version of app...)
Again with using the "Unity Remote" app it breaks when you do these type of things and straight out does not work for Android TV
