unity makes file explorer on windows 10 lag and occasionally crash
unity itself doesnt crash or lag at all, but any time i want to open a folder on windows 10 the file explorer is laggy, especially if a folder contains a compressed file like zip rar or 7z. it will occasionally crash if i keep the explorer open for a long period of time if im checking a huge list of files. i know its unity because it only happens when im using unity, its not the unity hub because i can close that and keep the editor open. ive tried updating all drivers, restart, shut down - startup, no network, with network(little better, but still laggy and crashing after a while) checked what was running and closing all non essential programs, nothing works. also on a side note any video i play on a browser also does this to a very small degree, no crashing, just browsing doesnt lag the explorer. i have no idea what the issue is, and i dont know if its even a common enough problem that others have had it. also the problem occours with unity versions - 2021.1.16f1 and 2020.2.0a21 both. windows 10 just still has little problems here and there with random programs, but i hope theres a solution. any help would be apreciated.
thank you
