Why are materials not being applied to imported Solidworks files to Unity for VR viewing?
Hi Unity Community,
New to Unity so would appreciate some guidance on the below:
I am investigating options to input my own Solidworks models into my HTC VIVE. So far I have been able to follow this example - http://www.cad-vr.com/solidworks-vr/
However, when importing the OBJ file, the model was grey and had all its materials and appearances.
Is there a way to import from a Solidworks/OBJ files where it includes all finishing or do I need to manually re-apply them in Unity?
Furthermore, if I were to import a model of a TV/Screen, is it possible to upload looping video content (or perhaps even live feed?) to the designated area?
I would appreciate some advice or assistance on how to achieve the above - and perhaps more?
