Question by homer_3 · Aug 15, 2012 at 12:46 AM · camerarenderscene cam

Scene cam vs Game cam

The camera settings the scene cam uses in the editor are very different than the default Game cam settings. Does anyone know what the settings are for the scene cam? For my situation, it looks way better than the default game cam. I've tried tweaking a lot of different settings on the camera and render settings, but the only setting that results in any visual change is ambient light.

I'm using a normal map on my textures and they only show up as being bumpy in the scene cam. They look really flat in the game cam. The game cam also adds some funky lighting and blurryness.

Here is a pic of what it looks like in the scene view http://i.imgur.com/AdpFq.png vs what it looks like in the game cam http://i.imgur.com/oEiQi.png.

Can anyone offer suggestions on how to get the game cam to look more like the scene cam?

the main difference between your images is in texture resolution on grey zone. check quality settings for texture resolution in game mode.

also, scene view uses ambient light (if lighting in scene is off) a lot, to light all objects in scene.
