Importing small fbx files ( < 1MB ) is taking up to multiple minutes per file.
We have over a 100k small fbx files in our project. The import times for them seem to be incredibly long. Importing just 1500 files seems to take more than a full 24h. Is there anything we can do (or is this some kind of bug?)
The Unity version is 2020.3.10
It turns out the problem lies with the PlasticSCM integration. Using Plastic as the integrated source control causes it to iterate the entire changeset for each new change (or so we guesstimate.) This causes each import to take ages and to get longer for each new change.
