How to make Match card game in unity?
I recently saw this game called 'Threes' for iOS and was wondering how to implement such a gameplay with Unity?

So please let me know a basic implementation of this type of gameplay. Possibly, I would like to use Unity 2D and not 3D to keep it as simple as possible.

That's sort of like asking how to use Photoshop to draw a picture of a cat. Obviously, you would learn to draw a cat the regular way, then learn photoshop, then wouldn't need any special instructions on photoshop+cat.
Step #1 and #2 are pretty much: 1) learn basic game stuff (textures, particle systems, sound formats ... ) and 2) learn Unity.
No, it is not. It is like asking how to use Photoshop to make a certain type of edit.
I know how to use Unity, and I also have a basic idea/implementation in $$anonymous$$d. But would like to get others' views to judge if I am thinking along the right lines or if theres somethong better/easier/faster/more efficient I could do.
