How to reuse animations?

I have animations for UI elements that need to be reused for different assets (all animation objects are children to an empty game object). The problem is that when I copy the animations to the new object they are centered around, animations are not aligned correctly due to different sizes for the object (each object has different framing requirements so might be wider or taller based on the object but the animation types needed are the same). What I'd like to know is, is there a way I can just make minor edits the initial animations so the animations align with the new object without affecting my initial animations for other objects. I'd like to try to reuse these animations as much as possible with minor edits to position without having to create a bunch of animations for the same interaction type as well as use as few animation controllers as possible. If you can provide me with examples on how I would set this up I would be very appreciative.
