Playing soundFX in UI,Play soundFX on Interface

Hi. I need yo play a soundFX when there is navigation between buttons in the Main Menu. The navigation can only be done with a Controller. Currently I'm using the default event system and standalone input module for the navigation so I dont have a script where I can inject my Playoneshot etc. is there any way or event to know then the navigation is being done?
