High CPU usage with UI elements.
I am making minesweeper-like game. I decided to make it with UI elements (panels, buttons - 360 of them, ...). It was quite simple to implement the game this way. But now I have some concerns, because the CPU usage is really high.
Is it usual for UI to consume so much CPU and how to "repair" it? (It is highly wastefull even when I just move cursor around - 55% of CPU which is brutal in my opinion).
Or should I rewrite game in a way, that I do not use UI elements?
Thanks for your answers :)
I don't know what version of unity you use but if you have access to the profiler you can track down what is the most cpu/time consu$$anonymous$$g part of your code. UI is in my opinion not a problem. You have only a high cpu usage or also low fps?
I have Unity 5.3.5, which probably has profiler, I will check it. I have high cpu usage, but not low fps.
