material wont change color all the way. (still some sort of Tint)
I need to change the color of an assets material, this material is blue by default and going into the inspector and changing the color just changes the tint of the blue rather than change the color completely. i'm not sure if any of this makes sense

It will get tinted with any color you choose
you have to recolor it manually or you can change that asset color to white then color it with the material (e.g., standard material)

@fblast1 how would I edit the texture so that it is white though?
You'd need to edit the diffuse map in a program like GI$$anonymous$$P or photoshop, outside of Unity.
