Creating "mini" terrain
Im intersted in modelling using real sized objects (because I think it'll be easier to think about size relationships between objects), but when the game is played in realtime I'd like it to be "Tabletop" (it'll be viewed through AR). That means I'd really like to scale it down by 40x (or thereabouts).
What would be a sensible way to approach this (given I am intending to use Terrain objects, which don't seem to scale AFAIK).

Hey,
im trying to do something similar. I like to scale a Map (Terrain) i made to very small size, that fits on 2 Tables in a VR Game. The user will then be able to look in real time on the map on the Table. I tried to scale the player, but if you make the player big enough that the Terrains looks tiny, the view distance becomes a problem. Would it be a good way to try to increase the view distance?
Second thing I tryed is to scale the map by parenting just all objects that belongs to the map and scale it way down to like 0,005 x,y,z. this works for perfect for all child objects of the Map, but the Terrain seems to be not scaleable. Changing the size of the map doesnt work either, because this looks terrible. Its an 500x500 world units big Terrain.
Does anybody know how to make this happen? or are ther any suggestions for an workaround? I think of by just trying to convert the terrain to a Mesh and just scale the mesh, bhut what about the trees on the Terrain?
Hope anbody had maybe the same problem, cheers
