Separation of prefab model parts
I was messing around with Unity, and I decided that since I was making a racing game (not for retail, only for fun), I'd use the Car prefab provided as a standard asset. I noticed that the windows and windshields are on the models of the rest of the car (windshield in SkyCarBody, windows in SkyCarComponents). I wanted the car to be blue, but have a black opaque windshield and windows. After trying to fit a plane in front of the windshield to fake the windshield (and failing), I then decided, why not edit the model in an external program? I clicked the SkyCarBody section, then Assets>Show in Explorer, yet all models for the car are in one .fbx file. How do I isolate these models into individual files, like .obj?
