Android - how to get low memory warnings? (eg, onLowMemory, onTrimMemory)

How do you get memory warnings, in Unity ?

Particularly, building to Android.

(I've just never had to do this - I'm astounded to learn it's not an obvious function in Unity!)

Thanks for any help, Android gurus!

This seems to be the dope no Android memory warnings:

I'm not very familiar with android development, but the documentation - for once - looks helpful; especially Example 3 about UnitySend$$anonymous$$essage and "Extending the UnityPlayerActivity Java Code"
