Solar System Scaling
I am working on an inner solar system simulation and I was wondering what I could reasonably use as a scene size in Unity? I know that I cannot do 1 unity unit = 1 meter this would be crazy. This will only ever be running on high end systems and is only for visualization. Position information will be coming from an external source so I do not need to enable physics just render the planets and their moons for now.
I have read somewhere that on desktop I can reasonably expect unity to handle scenes that extend out from the origin in any direction (x,y.z) to about 50,000 units but I wanted to check to make sure that this was still the case.
