The sprites from my Unity scene are pink
I downloaded a ready-made scene from the GitHub repository and played it on my Unity, but when I opened the package scene it all went pink, I took a screenshot of the problem:
That is usually a material issue, but looks like you have missing script references as well

When you said you "downloaded a ready-made scene from the GitHub repository", did any of the folders contain any assets (i.e. image and meta files) in any of the folders in the package? I suspect you may be missing those files from the package that you've downloaded, because pink sprites indicate missing references.
One way to confirm this is to select the UI image in your scene and check the inspector...the sprite field of the image component would likely say "missing..." something.
