No debuging possible anymore, existing project showing "a project with an output type of class library cannot be started directly"
Hello everyone,
I have an existing project where I was able to activate debugging via the "Start in unity" button.
This button now does not exist anymore?! Only the Start button is there and when I hit it I get the following error:
I tried to understand what this error message actually tells me in order to find out the reason behind it, but honestly I do not understand several things.
What is the "Output Type" in this context?
What is a Class Library?
What do I have to do to solve this problem?
Can anyone help me with this problem?

Have you tried regenerating the VS project files via Preferences > External Tools > Regenerate project files (Unity 2020+)
@viesc123: Thanks a lot! No I didn't but it helped to solve the issue!
So, is it a bug in Unity/VS?
Yeah, I think so ;) I think sometimes, the VS solution files get messed up. It is getting better, but I use that button a lot..
