Visual Studio 2017 namespace cannot be found on installed package
I've installed the FileHelpers package http://www.filehelpers.net using the package manager console in Visual Studio 2017 and when I start Unity I get the error message "The type or namespace name `FileHelpers' could not be found. Are you missing an assembly reference?".
I am using .NET 4.6.
Any help would be appreciated.
I unfortunately haven't used this dll so I can't speak to whether its compatible or not. Unity and Visual Studio are two exclusively different softwares. Its possible that plugins and dlls may work for one and not the other.
It may not be compatible to use in Unity
It may not be compatible with the platform you have chosen
The first thing you need to do is add the "FileHelpers" dll to your Unity project under a folder called "Plugins" https://docs.unity3d.com/$$anonymous$$anual/SpecialFolders.html

Make sure that you have the latest visual studio 2017 version as I have read in the release notes that they fixed this bug already.
