Run Vivox in the background

Hi, I'm working on a multiplayer game, something like a walkie talkie.

I integrated the vivox voice and text chat.

is it possible to run the vivox script in the background so when user received a message or when somebody spoke to the walkie talkie, app can send a notification. even when the app is closed.

if it's possible, how do I do it?
