unity standar fps controller takes damage even when not aiming directly at it.
i have a problem where if an enemy shoots close to my character that has the unity firstperson controller on it. it takes damage like there's some large collider around it, but not as a component. if i add a dummy fps controller with everything enabled except the script i can damage it if i shoot close to it at about a half of a meter away. i cant find this collider anywhere, the only thing i could think of is the ground spherecast in the fps controller script but its a cast, not a collider, and the dummy fps controller script is disabled anyway so that's not it. I'm using a projectile based shooting script that sends a message to the method on the colliders gameobject if that helps. i know projectile shooting is more inferior to raycast. but i don't know how to add bullet drop to a raycast or add accurate tracer effects from muzzle of gun to what I'm looking at, but any help on that would be appreciated as well.
