Imported mesh has messed up shadows/lighting
Hi,
I imported a mesh from Maya into Unity, but the shadows on it are all weird, as you can see in the picture. I tried checking, "Generate Lightmap UVs" in the import settings, but it didn't help. Any insight would be appreciated.
Thanks!

That worked. thank you!
Setting Normals to Calculate and Smoothing Angle to 0 fixed it.

It's probably something to do with the normals. Try reimporting with the 3 different settings available (None, Import, and Calculate) and see if that fixes it. If that doesn't, it may be an issue with the mesh itself. I haven't used Maya, but Blender has a feature in which you can auto-recalculate the normals pretty easily, so I'm certain Maya has an equivalent.
