Increase in batches from shadowmaps
When testing our quality settings in Unity HDRP 2019.4.7.f1 we notised a high increase in batches when changing from low to high quality settings. It went from 40 to 150. The only thing that changes is the HDRP quality asset. We have dubble and tripple checked the difference from low and high assets and there are no difference other than lower resolution on shadows and lightmaps. Nothing that we suspect could increase the batch count. When using the Frame Debug tool in unity we could see that on high the main camera gets one shadowMaps batch rendered, while on low the main camera shadowMap renders / creates a lot more batches, around 100. Is this a bug or is there something that we are missing? Any help is welcome
Thanks!
