Render texture blocking raycast from camera
In my project, I have a render texture that is a raw image on another camera to scale the game's resolution. The problem is that the raycast no longer works from the main camera. I have tried ignoring the UI layer, however does not seem to work.

For anyone who runs into this problem, the fix was to add a layer mask to the raycast and put the render texture on it.
Quick question, could you elaborate on adding a layer mask to the raycast and what that would look like? I'm struggling with this issue as well and I can't seem to find any info/assistance on it.
