How to get my update to happen before the next animation starts?
I have an idle animation that plays once and goes into a walk animation due to "Has Exit Time" or zero. However, the walk animation starts a frame before code starts executing again when idling is finally == false. This leads to my walking animation happening for one frame without moving, or one frame facing the wrong way before flipping.
Is there a core concept I need to read up on here? How do I execute my code before the animation starts? Or am I forced to use code to switch the animations instead of setting "Has exit time" (of zero) in the idle animation?
